A few good questions

Is GoodNeighborHub a government agency?

No. We are an independent educational website. We do not administer benefits or decide eligibility.

Can I apply for assistance here?

No. Use our guides to prepare questions, then contact the organization administering the service directly.

Are the guides and tools free?

Yes. You do not need an account, a purchase, or an SMS subscription to use any guide or tool.

Does the planner find services in my ZIP code?

No. It creates a question list. Your ZIP code, if entered, appears only in that list. Use the public starting points on our resource pages to explore local services.

What texts can I choose?

Informational/account texts include sign-up confirmations, preference changes, and new-guide alerts. Marketing texts include seasonal resource reminders, new free tools, and featured guides. Each has its own unchecked consent box on Get Updates.

How do I stop texts or get help?

Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can also contact support@goodneighborhub.org.

Are my tool entries sent to you?

No. Tools run in your browser and do not send entries to us. Reloading the page clears them. A form submission, when enabled, is different and is described in our Privacy Policy.

Can you guarantee that a local service is available?

No. Hours, requirements, funding, and availability vary. Confirm details directly with the organization.
